August 2026 Networking Event
On the 6th August Business East Tamar hosted a networking event at the George Town Yacht Club with Guest speaker Guy Barnett, Deputy Premier and Minister for Small Business.
Business East Tamar encourages members to lead by example and also support local businesses for goods and services wherever possible. It also encourages the wider community to have input into achieving an even better community.
Business East Tamar supports existing local business, industry and enterprise and encourages new enterprises from manufacturing and heavy industry, educational, retail, support services and tourism in the George Town and surrounding areas. It is committed to continually developing strategies to improve the image of George Town and endeavour to promote its people, natural assets and business enterprise.
Executive committee
Our executive committee meets regularly to execute actions on behalf of the chamber and board, and to advance opportunities for George Town.
Staff
The chamber currently employs one part-time staff member, who provides administration and day-to-day operational support to the Executive and Business Support to Members.
Committee
Our board members actively engage in policy decisions and strategic planning of the chamber and our region.
