Business East Tamar — July 2026 Business Update Summary

This month, we are highlighting the launch of our refreshed website, which features an upgraded, user-friendly search engine designed to make connecting local businesses and community groups easier than ever.

Business update - July 2026

We are also looking ahead to key opportunities for our members, including the opening of nominations for the 2026 Business Excellence Awards and an upcoming networking evening with Deputy Premier and Minister for Small Business, Guy Barnett.

In response to recent industrial changes, we stand in strong support of workers impacted by the Liberty Bell Bay closure. We are actively collaborating with local partners and the George Town Council to connect displaced employees with regional job vacancies and financial hardship assistance. Furthermore, this edition highlights valuable small business advisory services available through Business Tasmania, alongside fantastic community and workforce initiatives from our local industry partners at Timberlink.
